We live in a prefabricated house with an attached winter garden and an allotment that we share with a few neighbours. All of its components are recyclable. Heating is provided by a local biomass plant that uses the waste of the mountain. The water is heated using solar energy. We recuperate the waste water and we have a plan of waste treatment that forms part of our way of being. Our terraces and balconies are productive. You won’t see cars in the neighbourhood. They are parked in a garage accessible from the ring road. All the free area between houses is for leisure, playing and encounters. We don’t have sidewalks, but we do have small paths that you can walk on. From the south facing terrace you can’t see the ring road but a big park that extends into the city. My friends living in the houses in the north have a special light inside and a view over the terraced vineyards that improve the water quality. Beyond that Collserolla serves us as the grand garden of our neighbourhood.
