Gordillo House
The house was conceived in first place as a rudimental box, built entirely with light methods able to react positively to the surrounding landscape. The floor plans are organized with simplicity and conventionality organizing the rooms around a central core. This is the result of the search for a house which would be economic to build and maintain, a compact home with domestic attributes but without its traditional weight. Whilst implementing the building on the site both section and topography have been organized simultaneously linking the abstract system to a privileged location. The program has been organized from the access patio level to the roof terrace selecting in every case where to look at and how to react to the different views that appear, ranging from the oak forest the ground floor is immerged in to the magnificent views to the east and west with the Sierra de Guadarrama and Madrid respectively as a backdrop.
