Housing + bus garage + nursery
The project is the result of a complex section where the different programs are organized around the central garage for the public buses. The fringe facing the street is reserved for offices, the roof for a housing complex and the basement for the residential garage. The structure resolves the incompatibility of the different uses naturally without creating unnecessary exceptions to the rule. The residential units are organized as a community of seven small towers erected over an elevated garden that together with the nursery forms the program. The structure is simple and repetitive. A limited number of materials and constructive principles resolve the façade and the internal distribution without exceptional cases. The chromatic vibration introduced by the panels of coloured resin and the diverse movements of the shutters create a varied and optimistic image completed by the vegetation of the garden. All in all, it is a great opportunity to explore and perceive the three-dimensionality of the city and the luxury of living in the centre, placed upon a public facility, which forms a dense assembly intimately merged into the life and culture of the city.
