The shape of the site, an existing servitude that impedes its full occupation and the interpretation that economy and flexibility can be met better by a solitary building than by a system of pavilions led us to propose an intervention along the service road. The geometry of the floorplan, the use of pleasant materials that are receptive to natural light and the search for the effect of a “resting building” are trying to naturalize the presence of the whole and make it friendly and, as you could say, very elegant. The distant views and the interest in perceiving that luminous spot on the horizon showing the scale of the undulated nearby landscape have also been taken into account. In this context of austerity it is more important to establish a method of depuration of the necessities and the constructive systems thus to obtain a flexible project than offering a closed scheme with unforeseeable problems. Therefore we established four differentiated steps: Ideal design; 2. Adjustment of renunciations; 3. Selection of singular themes; 4. Final design.
